Product Description

Product Benefits

General Legal Advice

Motor Accident Advice
Telephonic legal advice can be given to the client at the scene of an accident. This advice relates to all aspects of a motor collision.

The case is managed by the attorney who is assisted by software protocols. Where legal resources are necessary to protect the rights of drivers or injured persons, Buddy Aid will appoint the appropriate party in consultation with the client. This service normally relates to court orders for unlawful/unauthorised removal or towing of vehicles by unauthorised operators.

Specialised assistance in accident scene case management is offered, as well as support and assistance relating to all legal matters and claims that follow a collision. These include vehicle damages, repairs, injuries and third party claims, as well as litigation and prosecutions that may follow. Attorneys have access to a comprehensive motor law legal data system.

The Attorney Referral Service is also available for matters such as bail and prosecutions and to protect the rights of the motorists generally.

In an emergency of this nature, a message can be relayed to the client's next of kin or relevant contact person.

Road Accident Fund

The legal advisors can advise clients on how and where to lodge a claim with the Road Accident Fund, and how to complete the relevant forms. They can also refer a client to a specialist attorney, where necessary.

Attorney Referral Service

In-house attorneys have access to a national referral panel of practicing attorneys if the client needs to appear in court. The panel of attorneys includes details about the attorney's area of specialisation, such as criminal, labour, conveyancing, etc. In most areas the client will be offered a choice of attorneys for this referral appointment.

The referral service involves a free initial 30-minute consultation and if required, the practicing attorney can also draft one letter or make one telephone call to a third party. The client can then decide whether or not to continue with the practicing attorney's services at a fee structure agreed to between the client and the attorney.
